On 30 May 2025, the Reactor Infrastructure Centre hosted a delegation from the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, led by its director, Dr Slavko Dimović. The visit was dedicated to presenting research activities, infrastructure and opportunities for future cooperation in the field of nuclear science. The participants agreed to further promote cooperation in the future, particularly through education in reactor physics and engineering, with doctoral studies at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Ljubljana identified as a particularly suitable path.
The guests were introduced to the activities of the Jožef Stefan Institute, the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Ljubljana, and individual departments and centres of RIC: the Reactor Engineering Division, the Reactor Physics Division, the Department of Environmental Sciences, and the Low and Medium Energy Physics Department. They also visited the TRIGA Mark II reactor, the Milan Čopič Nuclear Training Centre and the Thelma Laboratory.
