The TRIGA Mark II research reactor of the Jožef Stefan Institute was included among nine examples of technology infrastructure in the EARTO Case Studies on Technology Infrastructures. This represents recognition of the role of the TRIGA reactor and the Reactor Infrastructure Centre in the Slovenian and European research landscape.
The publication was prepared in response to the European Commission report Towards the Implementation of an EU Strategy for Technology Infrastructures: Insights for the Implementation of the ERA Policy Agenda, which provides recommendations for strengthening links within the European Research Area in the field of technology infrastructure. It highlights the importance of technology and research infrastructures for Europe’s green and digital transition, technological independence and the resilience of the European Research Area. The TRIGA reactor is presented as an infrastructure that connects research, development, education and user support.
The presentation of the reactor for the EARTO publication was prepared jointly by colleagues from U1, U6, R4, F8, RIC, ICJT and CTT.
