During the week from 25 to 29 July, we hosted experts from the company Q Techna, who carried out an inspection of the reactor tank. A similar inspection was previously performed in 2011, enabling comparison of the results.
The reactor tank was inspected using a camera system, while ultrasonic measurements were used to determine wall thickness. The tank has remained in service since the beginning of reactor operation, and its condition is therefore given special attention. The integrity of the tank is crucial for the safe long-term operation of the reactor, as it prevents water leakage from the reactor pool.
After completing the reactor tank inspection, the reactor pool and spent fuel storage pool were also inspected. Although both pools are currently empty, they remain important components for future reactor operation.
